Recognized for its impact through the Collegiate Farm Bureau Mini-Grant Program

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) has been honored with the Power of Associations Silver Award for the third consecutive year by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). This prestigious recognition celebrates AFBF’s commitment to supporting student leaders in agriculture through its Collegiate Farm Bureau Mini-Grant Program.

The program provides $500 grants to student chapters, enabling them to fund various initiatives, such as recruitment efforts, leadership development activities, community service, officer training, educational materials, and conference attendance. The grants aim to cultivate the next generation of agricultural leaders by empowering students to take on key roles in their local agricultural communities.

The Power of Associations Awards are presented to organizations that extend their impact beyond their usual functions. AFBF’s success in strengthening over 120 Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters across the country has been recognized as a powerful tool for advancing the agricultural industry. ASAE has highlighted AFBF’s ability to build community connections and contribute to the ongoing development of agriculture-focused education.

This year’s Silver Award follows AFBF’s previous accolades, including a Summit Award in 2023 for its Harvest for All Program and a Silver Award for the Social Media Ambassador Program in 2024. These recognitions underline AFBF’s ongoing work in providing vital resources to the agricultural community.

The Collegiate Farm Bureau Mini-Grant Program is a testament to AFBF’s dedication to investing in the future of agriculture by providing students with the tools and opportunities to become the next leaders in the industry.
