Irish beef farmers produce about 520,000 tonnes (573,000 tons) of beef annually, with about 470,000 tonnes (518,000 tons) destined for export markets.
Those figures help solidify Ireland as Europe’s top beef exporter and as the world’s fifth-largest beef exporter.
