7 Wrestling Connections to Agriculture

The Godwinns

The Godwinns

During the WWF’s New Generation Era in the mid-1990s, several wrestlers were depicted as having professions, which included farmers.

Dennis Knight, wrestling as Phineas I. Godwin (PIG), and Mark Canterbury, under the name Henry O. Godwin (HOG), were two hog farmers from Arkansas. They wore overalls and ag paraphernalia down to the ring and occasionally would bring piglets with them.

The tag-team would also carry a bucket of slop that they would dump on opponents. In one instance, Canterbury competed in an “Arkansas Hog Pen Match,” where whomever could throw their opponent into slop first would be declared the winner.
