This large Yorkshire pig statue is located on the south side of Highway 5 beside the Koenders building in Englefeld, Sask. The statue is 17 feet (5.18 metres) long and weighs about 600 lbs. (272 kg).
Wilf Koenders, owner of Koenders Plastics and Koenders Windmills, built the giant pig in 1996 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the town’s annual Hogfest, which includes pork dishes, dancing and fireworks.
