This display can be found along Highway 212 in Olivia, Minn.
The story behind the 50-foot- (15.24-metre-) tall corn gazebo is that, in 1973, Bob Rauenhorst, owner of Trojan Seed Co., wanted the largest ear of corn in the state.
At the time, a 23-foot (7.01-metre) ear of corn on a water tower in Rochester, Minn. was the tallest.
Designers made the corn ear in Olivia two feet larger and perched it on top of a 25-foot (7.62-metre) gazebo to bring it to its total height.
