Corporate History

Farms.com was one of the original agriculture companies on the Internet.  Farms.com was named, more than once, as the Best of the Web for agriculture by Forbes Magazine.  More than 15 years later, Farms.com continues to be a leader in online agriculture.

Farms.com was launched in January 1995, soon after it was possible to view images on the Internet.  In 1997, Farms.com became a “true” business venture.  Soon after, in 1998, the online business eHarvest.com was founded.  In 2000, Farms.com & eHarvest.com merged to create the market powerhouse that it is today Farms.com.
