Video: Canada's Big Sheep Show & Sale!
Today at Ewetopia Farms, we talked about our newest purchase at the All Canada Sheep Classic that was held in Barriere, British Columbia, this year, 2023. We also talk about the highlights and lowlights of sales/shows such as The Classic and compare it to online auctions which have become popular as of late and how they may or may not be hurting attendance and purchases at Canada's big sale/show. We discuss sheep trends we have been noticing and hypothesize why these trends may be happening. All comments regarding the show are personal opinions and may not reflect others' opinions. I do not intend to offend any person, organization, or breed in my discussions. We also show clips of the show so you can get a feel of what a sheep auction looks like.
Sheep and sheep farming is our passion and we hope that the love we have for what we do is obvious to you the viewers. Our operation is a large scale, registered Suffolk and Poll Dorset sheep farm combining the best of pasture and confinement to manage the flock for maximum comfort, minimal stress, and producing a consistent, very high quality product. Our focus is on providing breeding stock for sale to other sheep producers. All our sheep are treated with the utmost compassion which I think will become evident as you join us on our daily rounds on our working sheep farm in eastern Ontario, Canada.
