The Swine Health Information Center reports while both African Swine Fever and Classical Swine Fever have continued to move, the Foot and Mouth Disease situation has remained static.
The Swine Health Information Center's April 2019 Swine Disease Global Surveillance Report updates the African Swine Fever, Classical Swine Fever and Foot and Mouth Disease outlooks.
Swine Health Information Center Executive Director Dr. Paul Sundberg says the highlight is the continued movement of African Swine Fever now not just in China but also through Vietnam and into Cambodia.

The virus is continuing to move in Asia and southeast Asia.
There has been little different movement than expected in Russia and in eastern Europe so that, although it continues, it's relatively quiet there but as it certainly is an issue that is moving around with Asia and southeast Asia with those new infections.
Classical Swine Fever is also something that we're concerned about and watching for.
It continues to spread in Japan.
The infection in wild boar in central Japan is an issue and that continues to spill over into domestic pigs.
Japan now is starting a program of trying to vaccinate their wild pigs for Classical Swine Fever.
They're just in the start of that so we'll see how effective that can be as time goes on.
Finally Foot and Mouth Disease is continuing its activity in both Asia and the Middle East.
With Foot and Mouth Disease there isn't a lot different than we've had before but we're making sure that we're watching for any new movements in FMD as well as in Classical Swine Fever, CSF, and African Swine Fever, ASF.
