All moms will be celebrated on Sunday for Mother’s Day.

To help readers worrying about last minute gift ideas, Farms.com reached out to two farm moms to get an idea of what other women might like to receive this year.

Gifts that reflect who she is off the farm can be a good idea, said Mary Courtney, a cash crop and vegetable grower from Bagdad, Ky. and 2016 Farm Mom of the Year.

“Farm moms are just like any other moms,” she told Farms.com today. “If she has any hobbies, that might be a good place to start. If you notice she likes to be out in the garden, something related to that might be a nice idea.”

“Treating her to a nice lunch or dinner is always a nice gift, too.”

Some farm moms would like others to do their share of the chores on Mother’s Day.

Kara Sanders operates a dairy farm with her brother and husband in Hardee County, Fla.

On Sunday, she would appreciate a little extra rest.

“I’d like someone to take care of the dairy cows so I don’t have to,” she said with a laugh. “Maybe for someone to clean the house and do some of the everyday chores.”

Though both moms suggested material gifts, they also said that waking up on a farm with their families is the best gift of all.

“I get to watch my daughter bottle feed a calf and help her with her love for animals,” Sanders said.

“Being a farm mom means I get to raise my kids while doing what I love,” Courtney said. “I’m a full-time mom and a full-time farmer. When you combine those, it’s the best of both worlds.”
